Trade Show Displays that Attract Attention
Trade shows have proven their ability to garner business for an establishment irrespective of whether they are big or small. As a vendor, a trade show will bring a cross-section of individuals to your display booth and give you the opportunity to intelligently interact with them. This could be in the form of freebies, company literature, interactive competitions and so much more. But in an age where everybody understands the value of trade show displays, how do you make yours stand out in a crowd and actually attract an audience that will convert to sales.

Before you actually get down to the display, there are certain factors you will have to look into in order to ensure that your stall gets the attention you want. For starters, try picking a trade show based on demographics rather than popularity. If you feel your target audience is going to be there, participate in a show that your competitors would normally avoid. Steer clear of trade shows that are making their debut. Always check with businesses who have participated in a show, on the responses generated. Don’t go by company hype.

Generate some buzz about your participation. Have all your clients know that you are participating and think of using the opportunity to launch a new product. Weigh the advantages of partnering with the organizers of the show. Specially train your trade show staff in terms of interaction. They will have very short attention spans to deal with.

With this to set the stage, your next step is to ensure that you have a trade show display that captures attention. Remember that you are one of several displays there and you will need something to catch the attention of the roaming eye of a potential customer and retain it. The first step is to get all of the details of each booth. The size of the booth and the display space available is primary. Next look at the wall space you have for the erection of a banner. The number of electrical outlets for laptops and other means of interactive displaying should be on your list also.

The main means of attracting potential customers to trade show displays is to have exciting graphics that are self-explanatory. Research studies show that you have a short span of a few seconds to catch and retain the customer, so make your graphics do the preliminary talking. Grabbing attention is the first task; an image or a really bold statement that talks of your services is what will do the trick. Also incorporate in your graphics, the name of your company and what you excel in. Tell your potential customers of a few things that set you apart from the others in the fray. In all of this you have to keep things simple. Too much information and harsh graphics can be a total put off and will have a negative impact on those passing by your stall.

A simple way to reduce the cost of trade show displays is to rent them. This is especially beneficial when you are a start-up or a mid-sized company. Being able to rent, will allow you to participate effectively in a few trade shows, and then assess the return-on-investment. Once you are sure of the monetary issues involved, then it will be easier for you to work up a budget for displays and have it work for you. Another great advantage with renting displays is that you can customize your elements for every show. If you feel something will not work or does not have a place in a particular trade show, then you can choose to omit it in the next show.
